Dianne is a scholar practitioner who has an earned Doctorate in Business Administration, a Masters in Business Administration, and a Bachelor’s Degree all from top universities. She spent more than 20 years in Industry as a Corporate Finance professional. Most recently in the position of Full Professor of Management, her teaching and consulting interests are in the areas of Organizational Leadership, Strategy and Management. A Public Voices/Thought Leadership Fellow, she has published opinion pieces on issues related to the workplace and also holds certification in Strategy & Management from The American Management Association.
Dianne M. Dawson, D.B.A, M.B.A, R.L.C. received certification from ILCT as a Registered Leadership Coach. In addition she has 360 and Polaris Leadership Competency certification from Organizational Systems Inc. Dr. Dawson is a SAOL Leadership Consultant, and specializes in issues of Change Management, Strategy Development and Executive and Business Development Coaching, serving as an adviser to C-Suite Executives, Boards of Directors, Executive Directors, Presidents and members of organizations with national reach.
Corporate Experience
Dr. Dawson leverages her experience as a Corporate Finance Executive, Consulting Firm Founder, Manager and Teaching Faculty to develop unique solutions to organizational performance problems. Her knowledge stems from major leadership study and years of work for major corporations such as Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies, Sprint and Sprint PCS, Conseco, and ABN AMRO/LaSalle Bank. Her experience working in industries such as High-Tech Manufacturing, Telecommunications, and Financial Services in areas such as Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations, Financial Systems and Performance Reporting allows her to bring a broad perspective to issues of performance management, organizational development and strategy.
Professional responsibilities
A former Finance VP, Dianne has held senior management responsibilities across regions and developed teams to support functional areas within organizations that include Research and Development, Product and Business Development, Sales and Marketing, Information Technology, Manufacturing Operations and Corporate Shared Services such as Human Resources, Corporate Legal and Finance. In addition she is a trained Six-Sigma DMAIC Greenbelt with process improvement experience.
